Congratulations to Hobbes and Kayla and their family!
Hobbes (left) Kayla (right)
From the proud parents:
"Kayla and Hobbes are both from the Buckeye State, Ohio. Kayla was found as a stray puppy in the summer of 2000, and Hobbes was adopted as a kitten from a vet in 2002. Kayla is a native daughter of
Akron
Ohio, and is the second best basketball player known to have grown up in the area. Lebron James being the best, but he’s nowhere near as loyal. Hobbes hails from the opposite end of the state, down in Appalachia, more specifically
Athens
County. His initial owner attended the nearby
Ohio
University. Go Bobcats!
Kayla and Hobbes found themselves roommates late in 2002 when Hobbes was evicted from his no-pet policy apartment for being a cat. He was appalled at their lack of tolerance and welcomed the move to a more accommodating space with his initial human’s parents. He and Kayla quickly became acquainted with each other and engaged in spirited debate involving much chasing, pouncing, and cat-kung-fu.
Kayla and Hobbes came to
South Carolina in July of 05, with the rest of there family. Both are still happy and healthy thanks to the care they receive at Creekside."
