Here’s something every pet parent should know: our dogs and cats are really good at hiding pain when something hurts.
A dog can still greet you at the door with a wagging tail. A cat can still purr while something isn’t quite right.
Sometimes, the signs are so subtle that you might just think, “Hmm… he’s getting older,” or “She’s just not playful today.”
But those little changes can tell us a lot.
Maybe your dog isn’t jumping onto the couch like he used to. Maybe your cat has stopped climbing to her favorite window. Maybe they’re sleeping more, moving a little slower, eating differently, grooming less—or simply seem a little… off.
You know your pet’s "normal" better than anyone.
So, trust yourself when you notice a change.
You don’t have to wait until your pet is crying or limping to take notice. A lot of times, it’s the quiet changes that are worth paying attention to.
If you think your pet might have some of the "hidden pain" signs, get with us at Creekside and let's see how we can help. Talk to us at Creekside or your veterinarian to find out how your baby can start to feel better.
They can’t tell us where it hurts. But they can show us—if we know what to look for. ❤️
